Modernizing Your Thinking:
How To Improve Your Self In Life That Will Turn Your World Upside Down.
Are you overextended, over-distracted, and overwhelmed? The world has changed and the way we work, live and grind has to change too. It is imperative that we manage our day to day efficiently when tackling the challenges of a 24/7, always on lifestyle. In this article you will begin to cultivate new thoughts on managing your day to day, by modernizing your thinking so that you may know how to improve yourself in life.
You must know how to build a rock solid daily routine, pitch a constant bombardment of messages, find focus within chaos, and sculpt out the time you need to do the work that matters. For too long, the creative world has focused on idea generation at the expense of idea implementation.
The legendary inventor Thomas Edison has famously stated, “Genius is 1 percent inspiration, and 99 percent perspiration.” To make great ideas a reality, you must act, experiment, fail, adapt, and learn on a daily basis.
It’s time you make good on your ideas.
Be empowered today to make good on the ideas you already have that will improve yourself in life.
The world we live in today is not the world of Michelangelo or of Ernest Hemingway or Martin Luther King Jr. It is a new world, sanctioned and captivated by the speedy introduction of new technologies, a world where our metaphysical front door is always open, where anyone can gossip in our ear.
Creative minds are extraordinarily sensitive to the buzz and purr of the world around them, and we now have to resist with a continuous stream of chirps, pings, and alerts, at all hours of the day. As these critical burdens tug us this way and that, it becomes increasingly challenging to find a centered space for creativity.
Sidenote: Although so many do not believe the Holy Bible (whichever version you prefer) is real, sometimes they have a hard time understanding its relevancy to them because they are not religious. I personally believe that it is a living word filled with history, laws, stories, songs, wisdom, prophecies and revelations. I also believe that it is the constitution of the Kingdom of Heaven and those who are citizens of the Kingdom of God use it as their guide, resource, assurance as well as honors its infallibility.
We Were All Created To Create!
The Creator of the Universe has empowered man/woman with the ability to create whatever we put or minds to. In other words man can create anything he can imagine. The imagination is literally the workshop wherein are fashioned all plans created by man.
Therefore, in researching who created man and woman, history’s evidence show this story all started, when God created both Heaven and Earth. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Gen. 1:1) Our origin’s ability to create as mankind leads back to the one who created all things from the beginning.
And God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” (Gen. 1:26) NKJV
So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. (Gen. 1:27) NKJV
“At the time God made Heaven and Earth, before any grasses or shrubs had sprouted from the ground—God hadn’t yet sent rain on Earth, nor was there anyone around to work the ground (the whole Earth was watered by underground springs)—God formed Man out of dirt from the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life. The Man came alive—a living soul!” (Genesis 2:5-7) MSG
Because creation is continual everything is repetitively evolving and changing. Nothing is fixed no matter how solid or set things appear. Established science is coming to this realization, recognizing our very thoughts and intentions are what determine our reality.
When we are not creatively expressing ourselves by doing something we are inspired to do, and simply go through the strides of our routine lives, we will begin to experience a feeling of treacherous dissatisfaction, as our internal light begins to dim. And when this dissatisfaction continues to embitter, eventually it will surely convert into an ugly potion of frustration, jealousy, anger and impending violence.
It is a truth, that when we are not creatively fulfilled, we are not at peace within ourselves, and when we are not vigorously peaceful within our own beings, this is the ruptured energy we carry out into our shared world.
So surely we have the ability to create the kind of lifestyle we truly want to live by simply modernizing the way we think about how to improve ourselves in our own individual lives, work and grind that will empower us to manage our day to day effectively and efficiently.
After reading the book 99U’s “Manage Your Day-to-Day”, there are four key skill sets you must master to succeed at modernizing your thinking.
Four Skill Sets You Need To Succeed In Modernizing Your Thinking
Building a rock solid daily routine.
Taming your tools (before they tame you).
Finding focus in a distracted world.
Sharpening your creative mind.
Because we each have a unique set of strengths, weaknesses, and sensitivities, it is impossible to recommend a single approach that will work for everyone. The right solution for you will always be personal and a distinctive combination of approaches based on your own work demands, habits, and liking’s.
Instead of the one-size-fits-all productivity system, we recommend a playbook of best practices for producing great work. My hope is that these insights, taken together, will help you shift your mind-set, transform your work or grind flow, and push more incredible ideas to completion.
Making Ideas Happen- Modernizing For A New Era of Grind
If you aren’t ready for the highly concentrated dose of insights that will prove both enlightening and uncomfortable through your experience of managing your day-to-day, it will raise some obvious concerns in your mind about your own productivity and mindfulness. Well, at least it did for me.
These new perspectives caught me off guard. I realized that much of my most valuable energy had been unknowingly consumed by bad habits. My day to day performance had decentralized to a point where I was at the mercy of everything around me, everything but my goals and true liking’s.
Let’s face it we all are well overdue for a self-audit of how we manage our time in a rapidly changing atmosphere. So much has shifted in the last decade! We have more apps, devices, alerts, and services than ever before. With the new ability to work anywhere, the outcome of the work we do has unintentionally changed.
Every person must face his or her demons in order to overcome them. We all know this but sometimes we can be unaware of immediate problems. These days the demons are more sinister; they’re the everyday annoyances, the little things that suck away our potential to do big and purposeful things.
How To Improve Yourself In Life
Tips To Modernize Your Grind
Own The Problem
It’s time to stop blaming your surroundings and start taking responsibility. While no one is perfect, it turns out that your severest challenges are a lot more original and personal. Our individual practices ultimately limit what we do and how well we do it. Specifically, it’s your routine or lack thereof. Your ability to work proactively rather than reactively, and your skill to systematically improve your lifestyles over time, decides your ability to make ideas happen.
Don’t Just Do It, Modernize Your Doing
Everyone’s so busy doing stuff that we don’t take a pause and make some changes to how we do stuff. As individuals, we never really pause away from the principle area of activity within ourselves. Rarely do we stop doing what we’re doing to think about and rework how we’re doing it. The main problem with any routine is that you do it without realizing it. Bad behaviors creep in, especially as we naturally adapt to a changing environment, we end up working at the mercy of our surroundings.
Enter The Era Of Proactive Workflow
The leading problem we face today is “reactionary workflow.” We live our lives nibbling away at the many inboxes around us, trying to stay afloat by responding and reacting to the latest thing be it e-mails, text messages, tweets, etc. Through our endless connectivity to each other we have become progressively reactive to what comes to us rather than being proactive about what matters most to us.
Being knowledgeable and connected becomes a disadvantage at times when the overflow usurps your space to think and act. To modernize wonders of work don’t come without a cost. Prospering in the new era of proactive workflow requires us to question the norms and so called productiveness that have edged their way into our day to day.
Optimize Your Time
Seriously, we need to rethink our workflow from the ground up. Ironically, you hold both the problem and the solution to your day to day challenges. No matter where you are in life or what terrible systems plague your life, your mind and your energy are yours and yours alone. You can surrender your day to day and the potential of your life to the burdens that surround you. Or you can audit the way you live and own the responsibility of fixing it.
In optimizing your day to day rhythms you’ll likely find that your behaviors have wandered to accommodate your surroundings rather than meet your preferences. Take the opportunity to reevaluate yourself. Take a rare pause from your relentless doing to rethink how you do what you do.
By taking responsibility of your day to day you can truly make an impact in what matter most to you. You must build a better routine by stepping outside of it, find your focus and rise above the unceasing discord, and sharpen your creative competence by exploring what really matters most when it comes to making your ideas happen.
